Are the new Wreck combo's built using the ultra light cabs?

I'm pretty sure they are. The wood is thinner than the old cabs, and the weight isn't bad. Mine has a C. Gold and a Brake Lite installed in it. I just weighed it at 49lbs 2oz. And it sounds KILLER. Of course, it's got some of you mojo on it, Lou!

I may be mistaken but think the Zwreck 1x12 Combo was the first ‘lite’ combo. It’s very resonant, and somewhat softens the inherent directionality of a 1x12. Love the tone of my Zwrecks, and highly doubt the Dr would change a thing.

Hey Lou, I play in a Trio and a 4piece (w/2 Guitars). In the 4 piece I usually use just one cause it’s a little more focused and sets better with the other guitarist, but I’ll use both if it’s a big stage. In the Trio I almost always use both with a Lehle P-Split passive splitter. I’ll set one amp a little dirtier and heavily attenuated, and the other amp I’ll adjust to reinforce the bottom, clarity, and just go for a bigger somewhat cleaner tone that sings. Playing through 2 amps is a big sound, it doesn’t have to be loud, even at lower sound levels it’s a big sound.. I can get some sing/sustain and clean in a blended tone. And if one amp ever goes down, gotta backup already fired up.
