I haven't bought anything in a while (I've been a good boy...well, almost!). There was one of these available locally at a fair price so I took the plunge. Will pick it up tomorrow. It should be a faithful (discontinued) re-creation of a Nobels OD-1. Gotta keep growing the pedal collection
A recreation of an ODR-1? Why not just get the real thing? The ODR-1 Mini at $79.00, new.
I thought I read somewhere that the ODR-1 was reissued In a mini.
This is was a minty used one locally in great shape. It was one of those spontaneous purchases. If I wanted to get a new mini it would have to be ordered online, the pricing with currency conversion, shipping and taxes would make the pedal the same price (actually more) and I have to wait up to two weeks to get it (unless one of the Canadian online stores had it).
As well, I just use the pedals at home so I don't have them fastened to a board. I like the solidity of the heavier pedals. I have a few mini pedals but these days if I have a choice I go with the full-size versions. However, If I walked into the local shop here and they had the new mini on the shelf I'd likely just buy it anyway.
GuitarZ: I'm okay with the AARP letters. You're still living and breathing? What the heck am I to think when a funeral home sends me a free consultation offer? Ouch!

The Bad Poodle: I bought airline tickets online... now every few days i get emails that read "Your trip is almost here but aren't you forgetting something?? You don't have trip insurance!" and i'm thinking..."is there something i should know about your plane maintenance?"

GuitarZ: Reminds me of buying my Honda. When they tried to sell me the maintenance package, I said "Is your car not reliable?" Long story short my wife teamed up with the sales lady to buy the maint package. Never again!
