I been waiting for the Doc to make an amp like this. The cleans are amazing real articulate and warm piano like in character. I was actually sold on it watching the video when Joe Walsh was describing everything about the amp. I already knew about the mojo he was talking about with the three 10's. The Vibro king gave me that same mojo. The Z-Master is very sweet sounding and warm just a beautiful sounding amp. There is no harshness at all in it. The two Volumes work very well with each other. It's an amp you can play at bedroom levels too. No need for a brake light. It's also lightweight. I can't wait to gig this amp. Thanks Doc!

Have you shown that amp what you got yet?

It’s really all that.....congratulations Randy! Now I don’t feel so all alone!!
The amp is killer on day one. These things are going to be SO righteous after a year or two of gigging.

One thing Joe mentioned in the video is how you can hear every note ring out when you are playing chords. This amp is very articulate and touch responsive. You can hear all the strings clearly. The tone is all there its amazing. It has a juicy fat warm tone. It's addictive. It reacts to your hands in a beautiful way.

Does anyone know if Eminence made those Alnico 10s for the Doc? They look badass in that cabinet for sure.

Congrats, Randy....I have a '57 Bandmaster and play it a lot. There's just some special magic in the output/speaker impedance mismatch that adds color and girth (and a good kind of weirdness) to the sound. I have the Z-Master in my sights as I already love the design, and know Doc's special magic dust will put this new baby a notch or 3 above my Fender.

Lee if you get a Z master you must do a comparison of the Original vs the Z master video.

Just show it what you got and wait for the mojo to happen.

I was actually able to sell my Vibro King and be at peace about it. Its def a notch up above my Vibro King. I love the 3-10 speaker configuration and to finally have a Z amp with that in it is about as good as it gets. The Doc and Joe put a lot of thought and character into this amp. The speakers are awesome. I had the Eminence blue frame alnico's in my Vibro King and always liked them better then the Jenson's. I am not sure if these are the same speakers but they sound great and Im glad the Doc went with them.

Randy if it's not too much trouble , would you be so kind as to add a review of the Z master on Sweetwater's Z Master page. There is one up now , a second one would be great.

I had to call my Sweetwater rep today to check on an order and I asked him how the Z-Master was selling. He said "Really Well! I have sold several myself. They are very popular!"
That has got to be good news!

That has got to be good news! That’s great news. Once the word gets out I believe this amp is going to do really well. I mean 30 watts is like the perfect wattage for any gig.

Excellent review Randy. I was pretty sure I was going to go for a Wreck combo as my next Z, but this has me definitely thinking differently. I miss the Wreck since I sold it to brother Dave, but this may be too good to pass up. I'm thinking it would be different enough from my Nova to make it a nice addition.
