Does anyone know how to add an FX loop to Dr. Z Lux? It's the only feature that seems to be missing on this otherwise great amp?

Sorry to say with all the features of the Z Lux in a point to point design there isn't room to shoe horn an Effects Loop in.
Footswitchable boost Footswitchable Reverb and Trem On/Off 3 taps for speaker out Half Power switch Detachable power cord
No room for a loop. IMHO the Z Lux is a complete amp and doesn't need a loop.

I haven't felt the need for one. It's not such a gain-y amp that a loop is a must-have, as it might be on an amp with more Marshall-type DNA. I run my delay into the front with no issues at gig level--never had a problem.

Welcome to the forum Mark! I don't own a Lux, but I agree with the guys. I run all my time-based fx in front of the amp with no issues.

Some gigs I use the Lux w/ no pedals whatsoever....Other gigs I use a full pedal board between the guitar and amp. I've personally never felt a need for a loop in the Lux....
Welcome to the forum, Mark!

I agree that the Z Lux is complete without an FX Loop, and like some have said, it's not so gainy that a loop is necessary. BUT! If you REALLY wanna have a loop, Instead of installing an actual loop in the amp itself, you can get something like a Fryette Powerstation 2, which goes between the amp and the speaker and can act as an attenuator or a power boost of sorts, but it also has an FX loop in it, so you can add your delay, reverb, etc, between the amp and speaker. Not exactly the same as a loop between preamp and power amp, but it does the same general thing, and they sound pretty good! A little pricey at $700. The Bad Cat Unleash V2 has the same feature but I've heard mixed reviews on it.

How about an Instrument out (after the power section), even it it is a standalone box we could purchase to plug between the amp and speaker? Would you consider offering this?

I believe Direct Box has such device available , as well as Radial Design.

I found a box that does exactly what I was referencing. Suhr ISO Line Out (not Direct Out).
