DJM - Welcome to the forum! I've not tried the Genalex 6V6s, but I did put their 12AX7 in V1 and V6 of my Z-Lux, and I really like them. V1, in particular, gave me more drive than the recommended Mullard. So much so, in fact, that I found I didn't need the mid-boost/tone stack bypass footswitch with my single coil guitars any more. There was plenty of gain and girth without it. Incidentally, I use a matched quad of current production Tung-Sol, medium grade, 5881s for my power tubes, and love them. If you're not familiar, Mike has a section on recommended tubes here: drzamps.com/support/tube-info/

No but the tung-sol 6v6 is not bad at all it really made the reverb on my Vibro King sound warner.
