I've been away from my house (where most of my amps live) for a while, but I got back and had free time today, so I fired up the Nova. Re-watching Buddy's demo from last year's Z Fest prompted me to pull out the Gibson. Glad I did. Only pedal was a Flint in the (new Metropoulos) loop. Great, inspiring tones from just working the guitar controls.
Fwiw, I set it up by switching the OD on and turning the main volume off. Brought up the OD, then blended in the clean. (Different flavor in the Nova but like what you can do with a Remedy, Antidote or the new Z Master.) Treated the amp as single-channel with the OD always on. The amp still cleans up pretty well with a lighter pick attack and rolling off guitar volume.
Pretty sure this amp will be taking over the #1 spot for my gigs. Also likely time to re-do the pedalboard and take off most / all the dirt boxes; maybe keep a clean boost.

It's the only amp I've got that I really feel comfortable gigging without overdrives, it's put everything I need right at my guitar controls. The only reason I'd take a pedal board is for a little delay or chorus in the loop. But what I really like is I don't have to be ear-bleeding loud to do it. Nova + Firebird = TONE
