Okay, the amp arrived today and I've been playing it for the last few hours. There is LOTS and LOTS to love here if you dig vintage Fender tones...and I do!! This is my Fender Hot Rod '52 with Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups and it's straight in to the amp. I recorded with a Zoom about 3 feet from the amp with the setting indicated in the photo. Volume and tone adjustments on the guitar are the only changes. I imported the tracks into Garage Band and didn't change anything in post. It's been a good day. soundcloud.com/atomiczombiekillers/z-master-clips

Thanks for posting this Rhinoman. Sounds great. Btw how is the clean headroom on it? I only play Teles so this can only apply to lower output single coils but there's lots of headroom of a rich, clean"ish" variety. I was surprised at just how moderate the output of the amp was until you got to about 10 o'clock. After that it starts coming on strong. Volume #1 is the fatter sound and volume #2 seems to bring the highs and grind more so I could balance this to be loud and clean in any club I've every played. But then it also has a wonderful compression and grind depending on how hard you dig in. I'd say it has good headroom for single coils but it's not twin or Boogie hard cleans.

Thanks for the response. I play single coils as well. I love the three 10 speaker configuration. My Vibro King has the hard cleans you are talking about. The Z-Master sounds like a sweet sounding amp. I am def interested in it.
With the two volumes Im assuming you can dial in the amp to fatten up the single coils.

You can turn volume #2 all the way down and make it as dark a sound as you want....I played around with it for a while and ended up bringing up volume #1 to the level I wanted and then brought up volume #2 to clear up the sound to taste. It works really wonderfully and you can dial it in to be just what you want. And the swirl of mids of the 10s just can't be beat. This amp is going to get lots of attention from players I think. It's brilliant.

Very cool. Great tone, rhino. I dig the various voices you're getting, thanks for posting it.

I figure I'd start with clips that don't have the amp all wound up....there will be plenty of that. The full, complex cleans should be heard.

The only thing I got out of the clip is how bad I need lessons. Ha!
Seriously though, that is a very sweet sound, but like it's carrying a knife in its back pocket waiting for the moment you dig in.

That's a good way to put it....this is just the faintest scratching of the surface of what's in there and how much you can control it from the guitar knobs and with attack. The amp is WAY better than those clips. I want to present it in the most honest way I can, because even then it still sounds SO good to me.

That amp sounds fantastic. I did hear it at Z-Fest last year but I really like the sound of it in these clips.

Played it all afternoon yesterday with my good friend that owns the '57 Pro reissue and we both feel that the Z-Master is a world beater for strong tweed tones. The sound is absolutely huge and complex. I am smitten...
