I bought one of the original gold ones back in the middle '90's. It was a leap of faith. You sent full payment to him ($350.00 if I recall) in the mail (pre-PayPal days) and waited three months for your pedal to be built. It was worth the $350, but $2000? As Paul Harrell would say, "You be the judge".

This is a certain The Gear Page wormhole of doom thread. Bill says what he does now with his business model. We all know there are many versions of this pedal out there that do a more than respectable job of pushing the mids. Don't worry be Happy... Cheers!
GuitarZ: I'm okay with the AARP letters. You're still living and breathing? What the heck am I to think when a funeral home sends me a free consultation offer? Ouch!

The Bad Poodle: I bought airline tickets online... now every few days i get emails that read "Your trip is almost here but aren't you forgetting something?? You don't have trip insurance!" and i'm thinking..."is there something i should know about your plane maintenance?"

GuitarZ: Reminds me of buying my Honda. When they tried to sell me the maintenance package, I said "Is your car not reliable?" Long story short my wife teamed up with the sales lady to buy the maint package. Never again!
