I have a Z28 1x12 combo with the Brake Lite and a Scumback H75 speaker. Right now, my dirt pedals are a BB Preamp into a Timmy. I set the amp at the edge of breakup, set the BB to unity volume but pretty gainy. I set the Timmy louder and low gain, almost clean boost territory. Dirty tunes, I use the BB as blade dirt, step on the Timmy for leads. When playing clean, I use the Timmy for leads. Strat, tele, P90 tele.
Can the Z Drive replace these 2 pedals?

I don’t have a Timmy or a BB preamp, but I am a Z-Drive user. I leave the green side on all the time and use the red side for dirt. Both sides clean up nicely with the guitar volume.

I'm eventually gonna get one. I've been using the BB into a Timmy. BB for base OD at unity volume, Timmy as a clean boist(ser louder) and as a lead boost with the BB is on. I've been using less pedal gain lately, due to a hotter guitar, and find having them both on can get squeaky on the bridge pickup. Main thing that attracts me to the Z Drive is the big 3 band EQ and bass cut switches. I think itll let me sculpt the gain tones to the amp better.
