Have been thinking of adding reverb/ trem to my sound here lately. I really like what I hear of the Strymon Flint. For those that have one, what do you think of the Flint? What are some other options for for combo pedals?

With the flint I give it a pretty high recommendation...super smooth quality reverb...really dialable...capable of some really cool verb tones...vibrato is nice ta boot...just when you take it for granted kick it on and yeah...that's nice

Best I've used. Lots of quality and variety in a compact footprint. It's the only effects pedal I use.

It’s the best pedal I’ve ever owned. The reverb and tremolo are super, the switches are dead quiet, and the build is first class. It sounds great with my Carmen Ghia and my Cure.

Ok, I’ll go against the grain. It was good but I did not keep mine. I did not like the additional power cord and was a little underwhelmed with the voicings. It had too many options for me to bother with at gigs. One thing I that I kept going back to was that I only used one voicing of both the trem and verb so all the other stuff was never really used.
Home/studio lots of fun but I have too many thing to worry about at gigs. Last thing I need to distract me is “is there a better reverb for this room?”.
Again great pedal just not for me and I REALLY wanted it to be the end all.

great pedal just not for me and I REALLY wanted it to be the end all Read more: ztalk.proboards.com/thread/81085/strymon-flint#ixzz5cdFwxEZyThat's my sentiment with all of their pedals. They're very deep and have great sounds but at the end of the day I want simple. I want to step on it and go-not contemplate the different verbs or add a fave switch for stutter vs throb. I'm also not a fan of having to provide power that doesn't run with everything else. They're very good at what they do but I'm not great interfacing with them. I've sold my blue sky and deco for those reasons.

I LOVE my Strymon flint. It’s a staple on my main board but I have the Fathom on my smaller board for reverb. If I was to order another one today I’ve been wanting to try out the Red Panda Context.

Been on my board for years - is it the best? maybe not, but I like to use both spring verb and the 70s for diff stuff, and i actually will use 2 of the trem settins - the harmonic gets into uni-vibe territory and the tube get all in need.
I have it on a board with a good power supply so no need for extra cables. And the most needed adjustments can be done with my foot. Recommended.

I had one but finally decided once and for all I wasn't a reverb guy, and it was too big and power hungry for just the trem. I did like the sound of it though. In general, I like Strymon pedals. I have the Lex and Brigadier on my gig board and they sound great.

The flint is a staple on my board, with a favorite switch u can get extremely creative and even use it as a boost. The harmonic trem and 80s reverb are my favorite sounds but the tube verb gets most action live. IMO it’s strymons best pedal.

The harmonic tremolo setting is worth the price of admission all by itself.

I'm planning to revamp and downsize my already small 6 pedal board to a 3 pedal board. Strymon Flint, Catalinbread Belle Epoch, and a Z Drive, I dont have any of these yet, will have to sell some stuff first. I did just order a Cioks Adam power supply so I can power the Strymon.

I use lots of term and the flint has the best. Reverb is great too. They require lots of power but I have 3 strymon pedals on my board and they aren’t going anywhere!

The harmonic tremolo setting is worth the price of admission all by itself. I owned a 61 Brown Concert for many years and still own a 61 Brown Super. The Flint's harmonic trem is very close to the "real thing". I actually prefer the optical trem on the Flint to the on-board version in my 64 Band Master. Could be that the amp's 55 year old components are a bit tired though.

Yeah - If it wasn't for the harmonic tremolo setting, I'd have pulled the Flint off already - I've got other reverb options - including on board.

None of my five current amps have on board reverb (3 have trem) so the Flint is my total reverb source. I was very tempted to get another Z-verb when a blonde one came through my local shop but I'm trying hard to reduce my gear footprint so I passed.

Good pedal. I think I've owned it twice--maybe three times. Kept selling it because I wanted a dedicated trem pedal that can chop, and that has tap tempo and an LED speed indicator. The Diamond trem is what I ended up with--great pedal. I just didn't find the trem side of the Flint that useful, and I also don't need a reverb pedal on my main board, so there's that. Best reverb pedal I've found so far in terms of value for dollar is the Wampler Faux Spring mini. Very convincing spring sound, small, not too spendy.

How does the Flints spring reverb compare to the Wampler? I own the Wampler now. And a Mojohand Bayou trem, 2 pedals I'd like to turn into one, so I'm planning on getting a Flint. I dont use tons of reverb; on my 66 SR, the reverb knob it usually between 2.5 and 3 and I never change it. The Flint would be for my Z28. I've had a few spring reverb peddles snd found the Wampler to be the best. To me, NOT having the reverb drastically jump in volume and intensity when I hit it with a boost or OD is important. Awhile back I went to the local haunt ready to buy the Flint. Went in took it to the room and also took The Spaceman Orion....I just liked the Orion so much more I was shocked....kinda bummed to not get the Tremolo sounds but the reverb sounded like my Z Verb but different.
Orion was my take home.

Love the Flint for all the above stated reasons. As far as power consumption, I bought a Strymon power supply to give all my pedals 500ma. I usually run 4-5 Strymon pedals and my voodoo 2+ couldn’t keep up.

Gonna give it a shot that way. Hopefully will not need a Power Supply upgrade.

Gonna give it a shot that way. Hopefully will not need a Power Supply upgrade. Their literature is absolutely correct. I've run 2-3 Strymon 500ma pedals off the voodoo for years. Actually I devised a way (thru gang cabling) to exceed the voodoo's stated capability and run all my Strymons (4 to 5 pedals) off the voodoo PP II+. I called Strymon for their blessings and tho they said it would "probably" work, they said I shouldn't depend on it, as Murphy's Law guaranteed if it failed, it would most likely be during a gig; so I bought one of these....(I've yet to hook it up tho)....

Strymon says the Flint needs 250mA of isolated power. I JUST mounted the Cioks Adam I bought. Has 2 250mA and 2 100mA Jack's, all I need for the small board I'm revamping. Its Nano+ sized, but made by OnStage and I like it better as its angked/canted. The Adam fit fine underneath, no modifications. Just sold the Timmy, as soon as the BB Preamp sells kill be calling Sweetwater as well for the Flint. If I love it, I'll sell the Wampler reverb and Mojohand tremolo and buy a Z Drive.

I had a BlueSky and loved it. The Flint blows it out of the water. The trem is the best I’ve ever owned.
