As you might have guessed, I have a Sr reverb model made in 2013. I was excited to learn of the half power switch available with the MKII mods, but then disappointed when I learned that the half power was only available on the NR versions of the SR. Guessing that there is a circuit reason why a half power switch cannot be incorporated into the reverb versions, but asking the question here to be sure or see if the mod just isn't available yet. Thanks.

It is available. Just received my 2002 MAZ 38 SR back from the shop with the MKII update, EQ bypass, and half power switch.

I have an older MAZ 38 from 2005 and have been wondering about this update. Just tried it at rehearsal last night. Half power mode was really great! Sweet spot much easier to hit at band practice. I've got a Brakelite in the amp but didn't use it. Preamp and Master at about half way up. I only took a tuner pedal and the variable boost switch to practice. Kind of wish I had sprung for the reverb on/off switch, but was already pricey for the mods I got plus new tubes. I bought the amp on consignment and had never experienced the "factory" MAZ, so I figured I'd try all new everything:) If you'd like to hear it, we are playing a "Live Lunch" on our local NPR station (91.9 FM in the Louisville, KY area) this Friday (2/1/19) at noon. They are also streaming on Facebook Live ( WFPK Facebook page). Going to give it a go with just a tuner pedal. There's two bands. Our is "Hawks". Kind of 70's rock vibe. Marty

I love my MAZ 38 but at home like it better with the brakelite. Would be great to get same sounds without it. I actually play mostly the EZG-50 so haven't fully got to know the MAZ. I got it mainly as a backup. I was thinking about sending in the EZG-50 for an update and realized I didn't want to be without a Dr. Z while that was being done so I picked up the MAZ. I'll try to check you out Friday. I'm in Richmond, KY and get Lexington's NPR station 91.3 but dont think I can get Louisville's 91.9. I'll try the Facebook stream. Have a good one!
