I used to use the older Schaller locks, but I stopped some 20 years ago. Recently, I started using the rubber "strap blocks". Not really "locks", so I chose "no".

Most of my older guitars have Dunlop Strap Locks on them. My more recent guitars have gotten the Grolsch Strap Locks.

I recently switched to the new Schaller locks and like them very much. Easier to attach and detach. I have them on all the guitars.

LOXX strap locks works great on LP. But not when the neck strap button faces the player (hollow-body guitar), lock can release when rubbed and combined with the strap pull angle. Went to Ernie Ball Super Locks. They do not have the LOXX low profile.

I like the Dunlops that fit over the strap button and twist 1/2 turn to lock on to the strap post. I also just recently bought a strap with built in locks, called "Lock-It" guitar straps. They're very cool, google them up. Also I use the rubber washers that strap onto the guitar strap post.
Anything to keep from breaking a guitar!

A buddy of mine had a VERY close call with an R8 one night right in front of me. The front part of the strap came off the pin on the top horn and the neck dove straight to the floor. I was waiting for the "crack" sound of the headstock giving it up when at the last second he recovered. A lesson was learned.

I use Dunlops on the top connection only; on the bottom strap connection, I leave the strap alone so that there is a better grip in the space between the strap and guitar body for the my cable to be run through for security of the cable to jack connection.

I use the Schallers; haven't seen the need to try another system. I've seen a couple of my friends have a strap pop free while playing (luckily no drops).

Dunlop. Once you get used to strap locks you won't want to play without them.

I don't use them on every guitar, but for me it's the dunlop ones or the rubber Grolsh washers. They work fine.

I use the older Schaller style. If needed I have only used the red washers that come off Grolsh Beer.....

Kind of like getting used to wearing seatbelts. Now I feel strange without them. Yes, I was one of the last to give in - it was that annoying beeping that would not stop until you clicked in.
