I'm thinking about rewiring a 335 style guitar with some humbucker sized P90s. I would like to be able to cover that great jazz sound a P90 does, plus the obligatory rock sounds and blending the 2 Pus together. Anyone out there have any experience with P90/hums? Oh ya, what pots and caps do you use?

I just picked up a Lindy Fralin P92. He also makes a humbucker sized p90 called the Big Single and Twangmaster. The p92 would probably be best for the big body guitars. I’m thinking about sending mine back to get a rewind, currently at 8200 but thinking about 7800 on the winds for the neck.

I've got the Fralin P-92's in my big Stonetree and the predecessor to the Big Single in another Stonetree Telecaster. I really like them both. P-92 is a split coil pickup 3 & 3. It's hum cancelling but it's still single coils.

If you don't want to spend a ton of money, Kent Armstrong makes some really nice humbucker sized P-90's. I've had 2 sets of them in the past and really liked them.

I also loved the P92! Also, I believe Jason Lollar makes a HB sized P90...
