I just bought a Z-Drive for a new board I’m building. I like it fine, but the switches pop when I engage them; on to off and green to red. It was really loud at the gig Saturday night. Is that normal?

Shouldn't.
Isolate the pedal from everything else Guitar->pedal->amp
If it still continues, contact Earthquaker. Sometimes with true bypass pedals, this happens. It can be mitigated but not really eliminated. Pedals with buffers tend to not be as bad.

Thank you Lefty. I am in contact with them and just send video and audio files.

Are you using a buffer in your system anyplace or a pedal that is buffered? Sometimes that can exaggerate switch noises

Earthquaker had me remove the pedal from the board and make a video. It was still popping, so they told me to send it in for repair.

I need to close the loop on this, so here goes.
I sent my Z-Drive to Earthquaker on November 8th along with a video showing the popping I was experiencing. The Earthquaker technician returned my Z-Drive on November 13 with the notation “works as intended.” It did not appear that he had done anything to it. And it was still popping loudly at my gig on November 17th.
I came home frustrated and decided to contact customer support again on November 21. The support representative said the technician should not have returned my pedal without contacting me first. He apologized and sent me a pre-paid label and a t-shirt.
I made two new videos: one with the Z-Drive on my board and one with a TS-9 through a Carmen Ghia at gig volume. The TS-9 switch was dead quiet and the Z-Drive switches were popping loudly. I sent the videos to customer support and sent the pedal back on November 26.
I got an email on December 3rd that my pedal was on the way back to me. I contacted customer support and was told that the technician had detected the popping and that the circuit board had been replaced.
I received the pedal today and it works great. Thank you to the folks at Earthquaker for hanging with me until the problem was solved.

Good job. I hate it when that happens but sure am glad to hear it came out right.
