Any suggestions, love, for reverb pedals out there. The last while I have been using a 5E3 amp I built, for small gigs. That amp has no reverb. So I'm not looking for surf city, just straight ahead...

I like the Catalinbread Toponga for digital. For the real thing, the Z Verb cannot be beat. Also use the Van Amps Soulmate a lot with non-verb amps.

So I'm not looking for surf city, just straight ahead... It really depends on how complex of a Reverb pedal you want. But if you want something that's kind of like a Reverb knob on an amp I recommend the J Rockett "Boing" pedal. It's got one knob that's easy to adjust with your shoe and it's based on a Deluxe Reverb amps Reverb.

2 great ones I wish I still owned-Digitech Hardwire RV-7,a great pedal with plate, spring, room, hall, reverse, lots of cool stuff.Bought it used for 70 bucks sold for about the same kicking myself ever since. Carl Martin headroom-giant pedal with actual springs in it-used for 210,2 channels, only does spring but it does it great.I currently use the TC electronic hall of fame which is good. But it's not the Digitech.

Limited experience with different reverb pedals but I'm very happy with my Flint.

Lots of good choices out there. I have a Flint. Sold an old EH Holy Grail, which I had bought used. It was fine for a bit of reverb added to an no-verb amp.

I like the Catalinbread Toponga for digital. For the real thing, the Z Verb cannot be beat. Also use the Van Amps Soulmate a lot with non-verb amps. I'm a reverb pedal nutcase. There are lots of good ones out there. Here are my top 3 favorites in no particular order: - Catlinbread Topanga. Lots of adjustment and control yet easy to adjust. Sounds just like built in amp reverb. I've compared it to three amps I've had with built in verb and found it difficult to determine which was which when set the same. The Topanga has much more control, so it can not only sound like built in verb, but really be tailored to exactly how you want it. It has an internal switch to select buffered or true bypass. The volume knob acts either as an "always on", or "pedal on" boost depending on how it is set. - Neunaber WET. Not really "springy" sounding, but a great reverb. It can be set to reasonably emulate amp type verb, but it's a bit different. With the depth turned up it really sounds beautiful. Like a choir of angels singing. Great pedal. Very flexible. The center knob can be used as a tone control. It can be configured in other ways with the included cable. There are several versions. Mine has expression pedal jacks. - Catlinbread Talisman. This is a plate reverb emulator. Great controls. It uses the typical mix and time controls. In addition it has a high pass knob which acts like a tone knob which removes or gc adds low end content. Makes a huge difference on how it sounds as it can be set bright and splashy or darker and spooky. It also has a pre-delay knob which when turned fully CCW the reverb starts as soon as you pluck a note. If set fully CW you get a perfect slap back type delay effect. This pedal also has a boost knob. It's always on, even if the pedal isn't. It sounds so good I leave it on all the time. My 2 cents

Hi, I recently added a Strymon Flint to my board, & a Strymon El Capistan which are both awesome.

Just bought a second Z Verb on Reverb.com. Yeah, they’re that good.

For reverb and tremolo, the Strymon Flint is outstanding. For reverb only, the Boss FRV-1 is a great choice.

For Reverb I’m using Alexander Space Race Reverberation, also TC Electronics Hall Of Fame is nice.

Flints on the board. Can sound just like my drri and my 73 princeton with adjustment. I even forgot which reverb I had turned on today with the drri after a while. The harmonic trem is spectacular too.

The harmonic trem is spectacular too. Flint with a favorite switch gets me all the verb sounds I need. I have a washy long decay 80s verb on the fav switch with the harmonic trem too, and normally I have the 70s plate with a medium decay lower mix so it stays out of the way as my always on setting.

I also run a Strymon Flint on my board which is fabulous. However, I did just get a great deal on a Walrus Fathom reverb pedal that I’m looking forward to trying out next week. No stereo on it but I have that in the flint so it’s no biggie. I intend to use the Fathom as more of a floor pedal that I can quickly grab and plug in versus getting out the entire board.

I just picked up a Wampler Mini Faux Spring Reverb on sale. Simple, small, and sounds great--very credible spring reverb emulation.

Here is the thing I have found with some digital reverb pedals. As the note fades out you can hear a sound similar to how a note fades on a digital piano. That "gritty" thing where the loop stops/starts. You may not be able to hear it or you may be playing in a situation where you can't really hear the notes trail off. I can and it bugs me. I can't hear it from my Flint. I could from my Wampler Faux Reverb and that is why I changed to the Flint.
I really like the Keeley 30MS also. I tend to leave the 30MS on all of the time except when the Flint is on. I use the 30MS to add subtle "space" and the Flint for obvious reverb effects. The 30MS has a "Abbey Road" mode that is supposed to mimic the echo in that famous studio. It gets close enough for me. A friend of mine even uses it in his home studio on vocals.

So I'm not looking for surf city, just straight ahead... Seems like you’re looking for small gig verb help - “straight ahead”, simple, portable, maybe a small footprint on your board for space saving at those small gigs. Probably don’t need to switch between verbs on the fly, don’t need 10-12 different verb options in one pedal with multiple knobs to adjust parameters and decay and pre-delay and al the other stuff that tends to take up valuable room on the floor at a small gig. All these pedals have done just fine with my small gig board - EH Holy Grail Nano, TC Elec HOF mini, Marshall RF-1, Keeley Double Tracker and the Keeley Omni. Small footprints, basic controls, perfect for small gigs. Let us know what you try, what you buy and how it works out.

My own personal rule is if it wasn't on those iconic amps of the '60s then I don't want or need it on a pedal. So I self-limit to one knob for reverb and two for trem.
In that vein I really like the Mr. Black Deluxe Deluxe Plus. Just keep the 'verb under about noon or so and it sounds just like it's supposed to, and the trem is equally convincing.
I know the Flint is well-loved and I've thought about one, but the fewer options I have to think about the happier I am.
Like I often say, if it was good enough for Leo...

When I needed a little taste of reverb for my Ghia, I picked up a TC Electronics "Arena". It's a variant of the Hall of Fame. Plenty of both available on Reverb.com for at/or under $100.
