Fender is building a Jimmy Page tele that is reminiscent of the dragon tele from the first Zep album. www.guitarworld.com/news/fender-and-jimmy-page-announce-signature-telecaster-modelsProbably costs more than his signature LP. Anyhow, cool idea and another example of Page being a business man and cashing in on his talent. Speaking of Fender, I tried one of the parallel universe guitars out today. It was the tele w the strat guard, tremolo and strat headstock. The neck was a handful compared to other Fenders I've played. I didn't plug it in but the guitar was light and resonant. I didn't care for the single ply guard bc it reminds me of an 80s squier budget pickguard. Considering this one was about $1100 you'd think they'd put a three ply guard on it like a strat. I saw the tele with jazzmaster guard and didn't play it. They kinda half way did it right-there's no rhythm circuit wiring. The tremolo for that looks like there's not enough room on the body for it. I saw some newer Gibbys but didn't play them.

As a Page fan, these guitars would be way cooler to me than the signature Les Pauls. I sent my buddy Jason a link and told him he needs a set. He replied. "so excited!".
