Just wondering, has anyone tried the 6N14N tubes in their Stangray? If so, did you like them more than the JJ’s?

Did a tube refresh in my Stang Ray head about a month or so ago. Compared a fresh set of 6N14N's to a fresh set of JJ's and thought JJ’s had slightly more volume (or gain) than the 6N14N's. I prefer the 6N’s over the JJ’s but have nothing negative to say about the JJ's. 6N14N’s have a softer and warmer sound to my ears and I'd recommend them for the Stang Ray. After playing a few gigs I'm completely sold. A good set of JJ's will serve you well though.
One other thing... my comparisons were done with both the old 12AX7LPS and EF86 and a new set. Same conclusion on the sound of the JJ's vs 6N's.
