Short version: the Boss AD-10 has a host of cool features including sweepable anti-feedback control (two frequencies), boost, onboard tuner/mute, compressor, reverb, delay and chorus which can all run simultaneously, 4-band EQ, presets/memory capability, acoustic resonance control, FX loop, looper, and more. The ToneDEQ has fewer features--EQ, reverb or delay plus a second effect, compressor, no sweepable anti-feedback circuit, boost, no tuner/mute, no looper, no fx loop. So, based on feature set and price alone, the AD-10 seems like the obvious choice.
But--the ToneDEQ sounds better. Like, a LOT better. The mids and the comp on the AD-10 are comparatively clanky and metallic, while the ToneDEQ is much warmer and more natural sounding. I've AB-ed them side by side extensively, and if what you want is a warm, natural acoustic tone, the ToneDEQ will make you happier than the AD-10. But--if you want a feature-rich pedal that will give you a polished, highly processed sound, you might prefer the AD-10. For me, the ToneDEQ with either a clip-on tuner or a pedal tuner with mute works very well; then the only issue is anti-feedback, which I can dial in on my Fishman Loudbox Artist (great little amp), while using the ToneDEQ as a remote control, essentially. I loved the AD-10 when I first got it, but after running the ToneDEQ for awhile the AD-10 seems a tad over-complicated (too many knobs) in comparison, and just doesn't have the warm, natural tone I want from my acoustics.

Tone overrules gizmo/features for me. I just want ONE good tone. The pickups in my guitars sound good. I don't use chorus/delay/effects. (although I like a little compression)
I had never heard of the Fishman unit, I looked it up and they immediately state it's analog...not digital. (although I bet the effects are digital) Perhaps this could have the warming effect?
I'm taking a break from acoustic gigs for now, but I'll be revisiting them again soon, and we'll see about the Fishman.

Given enough tweaking you could probably get the AD-10 pretty close to the ToneDEQ, tone-wise, but with the ToneDEQ it's just there the second you plug in. I'll tell you, John--the best acoustic gear purchase I've made other than the guitars themselves is probably the Fishman Loudbox Artist amp. I got it to use as a dedicated monitor/DI for these acoustic shows we've been doing and it's ideal for that purpose. I don't really need an additional DI pedal running into it, but I'm used to having that "remote control" capability at my feet without having to go to the amp to make adjustments. But the amp alone sounds great--get a stomp tuner, a clean boost and maybe a delay on a small pedalboard and you're basically set, no need for an additional DI/preamp.
