Always thought Mr. Brightside was “okay” and maybe a little whiny-feeling, but definitely caught onto Somebody Told Me. Later heard I’m the Man and thought that song was pretty bad@$$.
Mind you, these are only their “radio hits” singles that I’ve heard, so I suppose I might not really know them after all. Seems like a unique style of catchy, edgy-pop though.
Yeah, that was my initial reaction too. However, this song and the others you mention have grown on me. I just picked up the Hot Fuss & Sam's Town albums. I'm going to put them in heavy rotation to see if the lesser-known stuff sticks as well.

The Killers were a very strong band for their first 4 albums (all that I can vouch for). Solid songwriting, lyrics, guitars. One of the few actual bands that have broken into mainstream music in the past 20 years.

If they had come along about 10 years earlier (or if were born about 10 years later), they probably would have been on my playlist. They remind me a lot of the sound that I used to listen to in the 80's and 90's. What I've heard from them sounds good!

GuitarZ: So, I cranked up the privacy protection on my browsers, facebook, etc. I have to say I miss the music ads and such. I really don't need ads for watches and other random stuff. Maybe the internet knowing me isn't such a bad thing.
