I love the boost on my cure and lux but for the life of me i get mixed up with it on and off! I so wish there was a light on that thing!
I just stop using it cause it makes me frustrated. These things really need a led.

I use a Boss FS-5L. It has a light, but it’s not variable. I just run my EQ higher than normal so the boost is not so pronounced.

Doc told me the switches that he uses would need a battery for the indicator, and that battery life tends to be short.

I’ll check into it. Thanks!

Loopmaster has one that you can use a regular guitar cable with, but when I got mine the LED was 'reversed'.....LED on when bypass was off, and on when bypass was off. Dave (premiumplus) had me move one wire and voila!
If you decide to go this route, the last two orders I have done with LM have taken 4 months to receive. They say they have fixed this, but I'm skeptical.

The footswitch jack puts a small DC voltage on the cable, so it powers the LED. Dave had me move the resistor from the top right lug to the top left. This fixed the issue I mentioned.

Thought the following may help. (from a very similar thread that I started) ztalk.proboards.com/thread/80219/variable-boost-new-housingThrough many different delays, I finally found the time to finish this project. The first LED that showed up was defective. Had to wait for a new one. The package with the new LED and other things was stolen by a porch pirate. Therefore, I had to reorder the LED. lovemyswitches.com was awesome the whole time. Great customer service. Attached is a pic of the pedal on my board, as well as a VERY rough sketch I did in Illustrator of the pedal innards. (from the viewpoint of taking off the bottom of the pedal) I did this for all of the people like myself that are inexperienced with electronic schematics. I can now run a cable from my amp input and from the foot switch jack on the back of the amp to the side of my board. Hope it helps! PM me if you'd like a shopping list of parts.
