I’ve had my Ray for a while now (years). And I kind of neglected it for other amps. That was foolish! I did play it every now and then but it always sounded anemic, so I figured - needs new tubes or, just not my thing anymore. Well, then yesterday I fired her up and this time turned the volume up to an appropriate level for the amp (and probably inappropriate for my neighborhood) and holy mackerel! This thing is just blissfully awesome!
And I can’t even say, “where have you been all my life?” Because it would just respond “right here in your basement, dummy!” D’oh!
If the Nova is anything like it’s ancestor, you guys are in for a treat!
I'm currently on my 3rd Ray, or is it 4?? Anyways, I've had about every high-end EL84 amp ever made by most amp makers anywhere..... Including the elusive Z-Wreck. I keep coming back to the Ray! There's just something magical about it that no other amp in the world can touch, IMO.
I've used my current Stingray for: Top 40 country/pop, Outlaw, Red Dirt, 80s hard rock tribute, and my current band that plays 50s - 2018 hits, including Metal, pop, classic (rock and country), and 90s country.
Best clean amp in the world = Check Amazing pedal platform = Check best "semi-clean" tone = Check
I love it more every time I plug into it!

GuitarZ: So, I cranked up the privacy protection on my browsers, facebook, etc. I have to say I miss the music ads and such. I really don't need ads for watches and other random stuff. Maybe the internet knowing me isn't such a bad thing.

GuitarZ: Reminds me of buying my Honda. When they tried to sell me the maintenance package, I said "Is your car not reliable?" Long story short my wife teamed up with the sales lady to buy the maint package. Never again!
