Zplus went silent on me yesterday. all tubes are glowing, and there is white noise and hiss that increases when the volume is increase (totally normal like any amp does) but no sound from guitar. checked cables and different speakers. Any ideas?
Thanks!

I’d start with preamp tubes. Since it’s a new amp I doubt it’s a dirty/corroded input jack. Sounds like a break in the preamp signal chain somewhere since you’re getting normal amounts of hiss with increases in volume. Start with V1 and work back to the phase inverter. Keep us posted and good luck!

Have you tried taking a feed from the effects send and putting it into another amp (effect return)? That might isolate the problem to preamp or power amp. Is the eq bypass foot switch plugged in? Does it make any difference in the sound? (I believe I once plugged the switch into the wrong jack while setting up for a gig. The result was (1) no guitar sound coming out and (2) a brief period of panic .)
