Where are my technically gifted folks at??? Swapped tubes, cleaned the sockets, tightened all screws and bolts, swapped cables, cabinets, guitars, etc., still this. It gets even worse when you tap on the cabinet. Solder joint gone bad, we think???

Based on the audio it sure sounds like a bad joint to me.

Time for some chopsticking. Poke around with a chopstick to see if you can isolate the issue. Could be a failed component.

Just a thought, try rotating the tone switch 15-20 times. If that doesn't help, I agree with the chopsticks idea. Probably a loose connection. You did try a different power cord too, right?

Yessir, I checked just about everything I'm qualified to check. I was going to pull the chassis, and there's definitely something rattling around in there. I just dropped it off with my buddies at Top Gear here in SD. They've worked on my /13's and my Maz's over the years, really good people.
