Why can't I get over this thing I have for Jags? Ran into this refin 64 and immediately traded a so\so guitar and my (I guess not so) beloved 66 Pro Reverb for it. This makes the 6th Jag I've owned over the past 20 years. I play them for a couple of years, GAS hits, and out the door they go. Every time I swear that I'm done with the quirky little buggers and then this happens. Refin (odd color, kind of a cross between Dakota and Candy Apple Red), Mastery, new tuners, the rest original. All of my phone photos of the body turned out bad but you get the idea. If I take a decent one, I'll add it. Still not a great picture but here is the body.

Don’t know much about Jags but I know they look sharp and very classic! Get the rest of it posted when you get a chance...so far I’m digging the headstock color!

Sweet! I had a CAR 1964 Jag with matching headstock , clay dots and L-series serial number. Kinda wish I kept it , they weren't worth much up thru the 90's. Cool guitars.

This one has the L series number but was late enough in 64 (Nov) to have transitioned to the pearl dots.

SWEET! Love the color combo. I bet it rocks... Thanks. I'll probably never know whether it rocks or not but the surf is definitely up and it works quite well for jazz\Bossa\Samba. The short scale also makes some of those contortionist jazz chords a bit easier to grab. Love it or hate it, nothing replicates the feel and sound of the Fender offset vibrato combined with the long string length behind the bridge.
