Somehow I'm just getting around to trying these out, and a lot of you already own them, probably, but--
The Archer Ikon's very Klon-like, as advertised, but with a bit more (and better-sounding) gain on tap. Excellent clean-dirty boost, really stacks well with other pedals, which is what you want.
The TC Electronics Dark Matter--meh. Maybe there's a cool tone in there somewhere--I didn't keep it plugged in long enough to find out.
TC Mojomojo: Hang on a second--this thing's awesome! For $49, you'd pretty much be crazy not to try one out. Really nice, under-the-radar mid-gain soft-clipper. I know Ian's discovered this pedal (that's why I finally got around to trying one--his video sounded great), and it really is an excellent, VERY affordable sleeper in the overcrowded OD market. You could buy three or four of them for the price of one very average OD pedal from a lot of "boutique" builders that you wouldn't like as much. Highly recommended.

So the 'Dark Matter' is really the 'Doesn't Matter' 😎
I'll have to look at the Mojomojo

I've had the Mojo Mojo and the Dark Matter for a few years, and agree. The Dark Matter is a pedal that some days I like and some days not. It's never made it to my pedal board for long. The Mojo is cool. It's responsive and gives an already on the edge amp a great push over the top. I do find that it's a little dull sounding unless the Treble is up around 3 or 4:00 though. With the Treble there and the Bass around noon it rocks.

Had the archer Icon and kept selling it then buying it back again. Great pedal. Lovepedal had that 100 dollar Tchula deal a few weeks ago. I always wanted to try that pedal. So I pulled the trigger and it actually exceeded my expectations. I use it for what I used the archer for. Its like a slightly broken up clean boost tone. I like the shimmer the archer icon had in it. Def like the icon better then the original archer. I finally got my pedal board done. Its great when you get your pedals and tone dialed in the way you want. But it can be a vicious cycle. This time I took my time. I been gigging for 3 months with no pedals or just two pedals a boost and a delay. I was waiting on Jesse Davey at Kingtone Guitars to build my fuzz. I finally got it along with my Duellist from him this week. He makes some awesome pedals! Congrats Flea.
