I bought the new HBO series Yellowstone.
First episode was good. Looks like it's going to be good.

I watched a couple of episodes. It seems to me all the characters are bad. I like to root for a good character. I gave up on it.

Yellowstone is getting good!
Took a while to develop the characters, but its definitely worthy.

On the darker side of dark;
Queen of the South is really Good, that is if you like glamorizing a sexy Hispanic gal with a soft cartel mind.
Snowfall!! This is a significant show about the CIA funding the Sandinista rebels by allowing Coke to flood LA (Compton) and one small group started making crack.
Really interesting and almost non-fiction

Interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on how this season wrapped up. I'll just say that I enjoyed the overall plot and action in the end. That's all I'm gonna say about that for now.

Finished Season 3 — I’m guessing season 4 may be a long time coming because of Covid.

I still have to watch the last 3 episodes. Great show and Montana is absolutely fantastic. Just got back from there and the west coast on a motorcycle trip. 6200+ miles and I still have another 1500 or so to go. Big Sky Brewing in Missoula is great !!

I went from Ohio to the west coast and back and then down to Florida. Just got home today. Total of 7,504 miles. I bailed on a few stops from Ohio to Florida. I decided I’m allowed to go on other trips !! Needless to say that motorcycle is going to stay put for a while !

I think the writers are targeting a core audience, probably shouldn't say much more than that (and it's just my own opinion anyway and who cares). But I watch it with my wife. Season 5 really seems to have jumped the shark. Beth drives around really fast and acts like a complete jerk, gets drunk in a bar and tells some guy he has a small thingy. Costner stands on his porch and makes grunting noises because someone wants his land, doesn't bother doing any actual work as governor. Some people get killed in circumstances that would never occur in the real world. And then there's ten minutes of cowboys doing cowboy things that usually has nothing to do with the storyline. And the leader of the Indian reservation rides around in in the back seat of an SUV with his deputy driving him (although I did see him actually drive himself this season - shocker).
I mean, I completely get that there are political and environmental themes that are relevant to the show and the storyline. I'm fine with that. I just think the writing could be better. It just feels dumbed down and sensationalistic to me. I expect a much higher standard from a popular TV series (joking...).
They never did explain why they don't have the helicopter from season 1 anymore - did they?
But I betcha I'll keep watching it.
