Based on the Doctor's suggestion on the Remedy thread, I put some 5881's in my Remedy, and loved the result.
While I'm waiting for my Z Plus to arrive here next week I'm wondering... Will 5881's drop into the Z Plus as well?

Will 5881's drop into the Z Plus as well? I don't think so, or at least nobody has discussed the current capacity of the PT. Please don't drop them in until someone verifies the option. You can take out a transformer with an incorrect tube.

Thanks, purpletele. I won't do it until I hear it's OK from the licensed practisioner. I read that 5881s work in the Z Lux as well so it seems likely. But I need a sure thing.

The Z-Lux's 4 x 6V6 configuration is similar to the Remedy's. But the Z-Plus's parallel single-end probably is not. Good advice re waiting for Z to say yes or no.
