So far I've had two really nice 335's. I've always missed them after I sold them, but they were just too big for me to play comfortably. They sound so nice though. I've been wanting to try a 339 for some time. I found a really nice deal on a NOS 2016. So I snagged it. Inbound:

Nice! It dawned on me that I may have never played a hollow body electric in my life. If the guitar/keyboard player ever brings his to rehearsal again, I've got to trade guitars with him for a song or two. Enjoy!

I love the 339, much more comfortable than my 335. I think we have the exact same guitar. Got mine from CME last year on sale. Will never part with it.

I have a nice 336- same size, different pickups and electronics, but a really nice guitar. Comfy, fits well, nice neck, sounds great. I play it more than the LP. I’d guess you’ll like it.

Very nice! Congrats! Enjoy!
I had lusted after one for a long time. Finally broke down and bought one last summer. Cherry red. The fit is perfect for me. I couldn’t ever get comfortable with the size of the 335. It has become my #1.

I’m fairly certain the 339 is the same size as the Collings I35. I’ve got the Collings, which is super comfy to play. It’s about an inch smaller all the way around compared to the Eastman I used to have, which was the full 335 size.

Man, this dude is off the hook. The guitar arrived like they are supposed to. Inside the outer shipping box the case was immobilized with packing paper. Well packed. In the case it was padded under the headstock. It arrived with no issues from across the country. It was shipped with the strings slacked off. I'm not opinionated too much here. In any event I tuned it up and low and behold it felt great right out of the box. Plays beautifully and I haven't had any reason to adjust the bridge or even think about popping off the truss rod cover. Perfectly set up. I'm guessing the store set it up before shipping because it's dead nuts. As mentioned, I bought this NOS. It's an unplayed 2016. I paid less than most used guitars of the vintage I see on Reverb and there ain't nobody else's dead skin stuck in the frets lol. Very happy with Lovies Guitar. Gotta give them some love here. loviesguitars.comThey have a bunch of NOS Gibbys. I was worried while waiting for it that they might just be left over misfits. Not the case, at least with the one I have. It felt like an old friend the instant I tuned it up and hit the first few notes. Feels like a nicely broken baseball glove that fits my hand perfectly. I love it.

Classy ! The pick guard looks unique and cool!! Ya know, I thought the same thing. But it's just the plastic pick guard protector. It peels off. Just a normal shiny black guard under it lol. Too bad because it does look cool.

Looks like a fantastic room, lots of acoustic panels, A++ guitars on the wall, and of course lined with the best amps on the market. 😎

That's a beautiful hunk of wood and wire, Nicholas! I love my 335 but I have had lust in my heart for a 339 for a while. You've successfully fueled my GAS, high octane. Congrats, now go make that baby sing!

So after some time with my new 339 I can firmly say this is a great guitar. It just does everything so well from super clean to full on rawk. The weight is nice, much lighter than my LP Customs. The thin body is super comfortable especially when played sitting down. It doesn't sound much different than the 335's I've had in the past, but of course I'm just going off memory. However it sounds quite a bit different than my LP's in a good way. Definitely has that semi hollow tone going on. It's brighter and cleaner sounding that a LP. The BB1&2 set really sounds great. Just enough humbucker punch without bieng too much.
One thing I didn't even notice until I plugged it in for the first time is the input jack is on the rim, which I prefer compared to the front jack on a 335. Also because it's dimensions are different the pup selector ends up in a really convenient location. I find it really handy. This guitar really, really sounds great into the Zplus. It's a perfect match. It's a keeper.

Digging the curly/coily cable..... Cool little faux "f" hole on the truss-rod cover, too! Love the axe, Nick!
