Ordered one, just got it and gave it a whirl at gig volume thru my Z28 1x12(WGS Reaper HP) with my dual humbucker tele(Dimarzio PAF Master, vntage mini humbucker). The amp was set 2-10-2, with the BL on 2 clicks. This rig is definitely overdriven. Roll back the gtr vol for clean.
The Ruby Red is a treble booster, a clean booster, or both, which really makes it an overdrive. My problem with most clean boosts(especially with neck humbuckers) is, crank em up, they get muddy or bass out. With the RR, I can set the amount of boost/dirt, then adjust the volume, THEN add in treble/high mids. I think LOW mids are the Z28s "thang," so adding in high mids via the treble booster half of the pedal gives some serious bite to the Z28s bigness. Full vol with the pedal on is just slamming. Gtr rolled back, the pedal on is like rolling it back up. It truly feels like it's a part of the amp.
This was purpose bought, for that guitar/amp/setting combination. I'm not sure I'd love the RR into the amp set clean. A/Bed it as such with a Timmy, preferred the Timmy. I'm gonna try it at other amp and pedal settings, with other guitars later. But for now, my minimalist amp> boost>wah>guitar rig is done.

GuitarZ: So, I cranked up the privacy protection on my browsers, facebook, etc. I have to say I miss the music ads and such. I really don't need ads for watches and other random stuff. Maybe the internet knowing me isn't such a bad thing.

GuitarZ: Reminds me of buying my Honda. When they tried to sell me the maintenance package, I said "Is your car not reliable?" Long story short my wife teamed up with the sales lady to buy the maint package. Never again!
