New old guitar day! Just picked up a '59 ES-125, in great shape, all original with an excellent recent refret. Plays great, sounds awesome--everything from jazzy cleans to super nasty blues tones.

Thanks, guys. It's my first vintage anything--same age as me, in fact, and aside from some light wear on the back it's in a lot better shape than I am.

Well, I'll be! (ES-125"T" {thin}). Yes the modern frets are a huge +. Congrats, Jon....You're getting a very nice collection of gear, bro!

Awesome. I picked up one myself not so long ago. Mine's a '58. I had to have the refret done on my dime, but it was worth it. (In case anyone is wondering, the one downside to these is that they usually have original barely-there tiny frets.)

IIRC, it's a '57.....(However, it might be a '59 ....I'll have to go check.... )
I rarely play it, tho I really love it. Great for songs like:
