My older version does not have the new buffered effects loop. Any suggestions for a buffer for a Maz 18NR to use with a reverb pedal (EHX Holy Grail). Looking for a good value. Thanks as always for the wisdom.

Larry, Type in the search bar "effects loop" and look for buffers and such. great thread. Sorry don't know how to share the thread or I would. BTW the updated Maz does have a buffered effect loop. My 2011 was sent in for the MV and Effect loop upgrade. Others have used the T1M effects buffer, which is about $50. Others have used it and it works. Some have cautioned about cable length that will suck tone too. good hunting.

While there are cheaper ones I much prefer AnalogMan's buffer. It will run on 18 volts which will give you more headroom. You can also order it with parallel power jacks and customized in/out jack locations since they build them to your individual order. There isn't any better quality than AnalogMan when it comes to stuff like this. www.buyanalogman.com/Analog_Man_Buffer_Pedal_p/am-buffer.htm

Thanks for the suggestions! It will take some tome but I'll post how it goes with a buffer when it's in the loop.

so--the T1M effects buffer arrived--it works great! I have it in the effects loop with an EHX Holygrail, the "Spring" setting and just a little reverb (8 o'clock) and it does the job. I am more of a quiet player and like it also with the reverb pedal off also. Thanks for the suggestions! I'm happy with the setup--it's kinda like re-discovering the amp!
