I was just looking for specs on the DB and it's not listed on the PRODUCTS page of the website. It's here in the forums and under "support" but does not appear to be a current offering.
I didn't see anything of an announcement like that for the Mini-Z and the MAZ 8, but it appears to no longer be a production model.

I wouldn't be surprised if this amp comes back in another incarnation (as did the JAZ via the Z-Lux) at some point

I'm a big BP fan and I think you are completely right With your clips its easy to see that the DB4 is a rocker in the vein of a taut Marshall or even a Hiwatt

I would love to see two preamps with different voicings. One, maybe a little brighter and gainier than the current DB4 and the other would be the standard DB4. Make them blend-able, keep the rotary tone knob, cut knob, and half power switch, pair with an oval open backed 2x12, one alnico and one ceramic speaker. Add footswitchable boost and call it the FuZion.

A criminally undervalued amplifier.

I owned a DB4 head and sold it....regretted it ever since...so much so that I just ordered a 112 DB4 combo from Humbucker! I think it is an amazing amp and the association with Brad doesn’t really do it justice, although Brad is a fantastic player.

I saw a nice blonde combo at Humbucker.....yours now maybe?

Just out of curiosity what were the reasons you chose to sell it and what ultimately drew you back to the secondary purchase of the db4?

He guys some of you might not know but I was forced to drop the DB 4 from my line by a pending law suit by Aguilar Bass Amps. They have a Copyright to the Letters " DB " which is the Owners Initials as well as a unit of Electrical Measurement , and a prefix to names of some of their products.
That is why the DB 4 is no longer in production. I loved that design it incorporates the unique sounds and designs if the Gibson Les Paul GA 40 amp, the Selemer Zodiac Combo, and the DR.Z Stingray all combined in one package. The DB 4 is a GREAT Rock-N-Roll amp and with it's Half Power feature is extremely versatile.
Some of my stronger dealers do still have DB 4's in stock, so look for them . Also some day I will re release the DB 4 under another none infringing name , with maybe a new twist or two, I like Franks suggestions of a dual channel.
DR.Z

Also some day I will re release the DB 4 under another none infringing name, DR.Z Excellent! And it's obvious since this is by far MY favorite Z amp that it should be renamed the NR4! No? Well how about SS4? That's car enough AND Marvel enough!

I was thinking more of "Phoenix" for the re-birth! You could make it a medical-type name by going with Feenix It could also be a car name for the Pontiac Phoenix...ah, never mind

^^^^^^^...that was my last reason for saying No. The Pontiac is not really on anyone's 'lust' list.

Howdy,
I recently noticed that Humbucker Music had their remaining DB4 heads on sale for only slightly more than the Ghia heads! This would've tempted me back in '09 when I pulled the trigger on my Ghia head/cab combo., the 18/38 watts switch. I adore my Ghia, though.
