We just watched the series finale. Great show throughout all seasons. They did a good job wrapping things up.
I highly recommend Longmire.
Sometimes my wife and I are sad when a show wraps up. We are definitely sad about this one. Good stories, great characters.

I was looking for a new show to get involved with, so upon your recommendation I started watching it.
What makes me chuckle is the crossover of the B list actors. The gruffy looking guy was Eric Banion on Bloodline and I just saw him on something else.
This show has the attorney from Better call Saul.
I bet those actors make a decent amount of dough.

Watching, not great but watchable. Better than a lot of crap out there.

Watching, not great but watchable. Better than a lot of crap out there. CIA helicopters, car chases and exploding buildings? ....no...but good character development and interpersonal relationships, which will mean more as time goes on. The people will grow on you.

This is the song that played as the last few minutes of Longmire played out. People didn't talk...just this song. There were 20 second clips to show where each character's life was going to take them after the show is over. Characters you've come to know and have grown fond of over the years.
It has a western theme/vibe about it. Because of this, I thought it was written for the show. (it wasn't)
Put on some headphones and close your eyes. Imagine new doors opening and older ones closing....and the hero/cowboy riding off into the sunset. It seems to fit perfectly. What a beautiful song.

That's a cool tune.
I really like the opening soundtrack as well, or at least one part of it.

Your 'binge' is strong! You went from "Not great, but watchable"....to 'Great show". Did the characters grow on you a little more than you thought they would? When I first started watching, all I could thing about when I saw 'Vic'...was that she was Starbuck. (The actress played the part in Battlestar Galactica) Now I'm sure if I go back and watch Battlestar Galactica and see Starbuck...I'll just think it's Vic.

Being an IT guy, I do a lot of watching. I usually put it on and do other things. I do pause a lot.
I found the writing consistent. It never over promised. It helped that the characters were realistic and likable.
(Spoiler)
I thought the Longmire/Vic relationship was a little weird (at the end). There had to be about 20 years between them. And I think Henry Standing Bear's habit of pronouncing every vowel and syllable a little annoying but over lookable.
