The Traditional’s are nice models. My son had one that was really nice and played and sounded fantastic. Good price too.

It's a good price, I'd be checking that out. I have a 2017 Firebird T that I love. I was skeptical at first but my wife bought it for my 65th birthday and when I got it home I pulled the back plate off and surprise, no circuit board. Nice, neatly wired full size pots. The T models are nice. I've got those '57 Classic pickups in my 335 and they sound great.

Good price. Hopefully you can get in an out of there without the guy talking your ear off. Who knows what's happened to him today!

One of my best friends works in a music store in the Columbus area. He moved there from Texas about the same time I moved to Az. Anyway he has told me some wild stories of musicians selling really nice gear at way below value prices. He says drugs are so bad in that area of Ohio that people are hocking their gear to fuel their addictions. So, so sad. I would beware of this deal. Probably just fine, but be careful. Just my 2 cents worth.

Well I need another Les Paul (or any other humbucker) like I need a hole in the head. I already have a LP. I am even considering selling my 335. But I thought this was a good price.
I haven't played the electric guitar in almost two years. (But I'll brush up before Z fest) So I can't really justify another electric guitar.
...and I've bought three Martins and two Larrivees in the past 18 months. My wife is understanding....but I don't know if she's THAT understanding.

Just a heads up, friend...the Traditionals are weight relieved. Unless they changed it, they cut out holes in the mahogany body. Fortunately, they aren't chambered like the newer Standards (2008-up LP Standards, they call it a "modern weight relief pattern", not sure if that still means chambering or not). I have a traditional, and even took an X-ray of it. Can't find the original pic I took, but here is one I found off the web. Just wanted you to be informed before you pull the trigger. $1300 for a Traditional is a steal...I say go for it.

There were a couple of years when the trads had no weight relief IIRC. I think 2013?

Here is a pic I found. They are all weight relieved in some form these day. The 2016 T's have 9 hole weight relief. The 2017's were the first Traditionals to go back to being completely solid.

That's interesting. I'd like to play one. They say they are a nod to the Les Paul's of the 80's and 90's and I thought a hallmark of those guitars was the weight relief. I don't really trust anything Gibson says. But, I love my 2009 Traditional. Tone and sustain for Days!
