I’m thinking about getting the Blue to go with my Carmen Ghia but the 15 watt rating scares me a little. Anybody who’s played the Ghia understands that’s it’s just as powerful as Fender 40 watt amps, ie the Blues Deluxe, or at least to me.
Can a Celestion Blue handle my Ghia at 2:00 volume level or even full throttle for a three hour gig? Basically I need to know if it can handle what my mean little Ghia can do to it. The Blue cost too much for me to blow it out.

Sure it can handle it. Doc ships Blues with 'em in the Ghia from the factory as an option.

If you blow it, you can send to Austin Speaker Works and they'll recone it to an Absolute. Then, it will handle 25w!!! :-)

My first Z was a Carmen Ghia combo with a Blue in it, at the recommendation by Doc. I gigged it for two years straight and got more compliments on that amp at almost every gig.
I always said that the Ghia and Celestion Blue were made for each other. No finer match for that amp!
