Howdy, i just got an Antidote head and cab this weekend,
i've been trying the amp and doing alot of tweaking to get to know it better.
I ever open up the amp and check/adjust the bias in order to get the sweet spot to my ears.
GOAL :
I do wish to use the amp tones without using some gain pedals.
I'm a very dynamic player i use my guitar controls alot so i wish to control my clean tone and dirty tones via my guitar controls.
VOLUME :
What are your experience with the massive volume bump produce by the Dote EQ bypass footswitch ?
Turning the cab around, using a plexi in front , using attenuator etc.
VARIABLE BOOST :
What do you guy think of the variable boost offered by Dr Z ?
Does it yell good results, does it suck tone (250k potentiometer)
Cheers

Hey Bluesman, Check out my post on the Antidote thread (Antidote volume fix) & hopefully it'll help out with the volume Issues. Cheers! Sam Hey Sam how are you ? I did check you post, if i'm not mistaking your solution with the RC booster will work if your using the Dote as a pedal platform (clean channel) Your basically controling the overall volume of your signal before hitting the front end of the amp. I want to use the drive of the antidote (eq bypass) without having to use pedals for gain. Cheers

The Airbrake and Brakelite have been my best friend when it comes to the Antidotes volume. It does have sweet breakup, very smooth.

Doing well Bluesman, thanks!
Actually it works in both scenarios.
I use the RC without any other pedals all the time, with the high & Normal volumes cranked at 2-3 o'clock, or more & the & EQ bypass on.
Only use the RC for a volume control, don't use it for any gain at all, I place the gain on zero. ......Just use it to cut some volume.
Yr right though, It does affect the signal....though not as much as you'd think.
Cheers! Sam
