I've never even tried an attenuator of any kind but the time may be coming if I want to hold on to one of my Maz Jr.s.
I remember reading in a thread a while back where someone said that using the low input would knock the 18 down to about 9 watts. Anybody have an idea how much the lo input and a brakelite on 2 or 3 clicks would get the Jr. down to? Anywhere close to bedroom-ish levels, or not so much?

Hey Fasteddie, I use a brakelite all the time. At church with iso cab off stage with a mike, and it is on 2 clicks; plenty loud volume, not sure of wattage output though. Note that the iso-cab isn't insulated but a carpeted plywood box. At home, I have it on 4 clicks and use a volume pedal to keep it fairly low, maybe a third of the way up. Still loud enough that you cannot talk over it. V and M set at about 11 ish. So, you can get to lower volumes, but wont get the beautiful breakup like a dimed master and 11-12 on Volume. hope this helps. good luck.

There is a misunderstanding there. Changing to the Lo input is not like having a half-power switch. The volume of the amp will be reduced but because that input is less sensitive you will have less overdrive and more headroom. You will be more likely to rely on a dirt pedal of some sort for your overdrive sound. Choose which input you use depending on which sound and response you like best, not the volume you get.
The combination of tweaking your Master Volume a little bit and 2 or 3 clicks of attenuation with a Brake-Lite will reduce your volume quite a bit but probably not to "bedroom levels". It sounds to me like you need an Airbrake which actually has an additional knob for that purpose.

That's about how far away my neighbors are, and I can crank at any hour without problems...as long as the windows are shut! I do like using the Air Brake or a Brake Lite for keeping the volume below ear splintering levels, and letting the power amp open up a bit. When I play my Therapy at church, I have to use the Air Brake at at least 2 clicks in order to keep stage levels where they like it. Maybe 3.
