I've been wondering about this for a while - have the specs for the Z 10" speaker changed over time? If I remember correctly, folks have referred to them as being very efficient and loud, and based on my 210 cab (which is an older model) I would tend to agree.
The specs on the Z website, however, show a 96.7 db rating - which should be noticeably quieter compared to my other cabs (blues and golds) but it doesn't seem to be...
Did they change at some point? Anyone have an old and a new one to compare?

Is it because we almost always run them in a 210 cab that they punch above their weight, so to speak?

I dug up the original Data Sheet on the Z 10 from 02-10-2000. The Calculated Sensitivity = 96.7 DB 1w/1m. They have NEVER changed for over 18 years.
