So, I have it mounted in my M12. I have a 1x12” cab. I connect it to the 4 ohm jack, not the brake lite, via the y cable. Can I just use the Brake Lite for the combo and not for the cab without hurting anything? Because I wouldn’t mind the cab going full blast but take out some of the speaker pointed at my ear. Does this make sense? Does this mess anything up impendence wise? I should be good to go as long as it’s 4 ohms. Right?

If you are saying that you are using a 'Y' for the combo speaker as well as your extension cab, and you are unplugging the combo speaker, then for one speaker you should plug the Y into the 8 Ohm Jack. That is provided the speaker is 8 Ohms.

Sorry if I’m being confusing. No. I’m plugging the Y cable into the 4 ohm jack. Off of the Y cable, one side is plugged to internal combo speaker (which has the brake lite, and would be the only speaker to be attenuated). The external speaker cab is running straight out of the other side of the Y cable, no brake lite. So, the cab will get the full blast and the combo speaker has the option of being attenuated. Make sense? I haven’t done this, I’m just wondering if this is okay?

Not sure if it creates an imbalanced impedance or if that even matters. We need zpilot to chime in. It's to early in the evening for him

Assuming both speakers are 8 ohm and you are plugging the Y cable into the 4 ohm output jack you will be OK. The Brake-Lite will keep the impedance on that leg pretty close to 8 ohms. Yes, there might be a little imbalance between the two legs but that is no big deal.
I've done the same thing before with a couple of rigs when I was using two different speakers and I wanted to adjust the balance between them. I wasn't using a Brake-Lite though. One amp was an old Fender Super Reverb and the other was a MAZ 38. I never had a problem.

Thanks, dudes. Yeah, so, I have a Blue in the combo and I wanted to take that down a notch because it’ll be higher on my cab and I don’t want to be blown away. I just picked up a 1x12” Z cab with a Heritage G12H (which is also rated at 100 dB), but I want that to get the most power it can. I just didn’t want to mess up the amp. As a side question, what head should I get for the cab? Ghia?
