Guys, purchased a spalted maple valence from one of our Z buddies, and had some questions about the install: 1. do I need to take the Amp chassis out of the box on the head to remove the current blonde tolex panel? 2. is the piping just glued in? can I just pull it out? I don't plan on having the piping after the wood panel install.
thanks for any tips you can provide.

thanks for any tips you can provide. 1. You definitely need to remove the chassis. 2. The valance will be stuck with residual glue, do not force it out, but try to break the clue loose with a thin flexible putty knife. 3. The piping is stapled on to the Valance. Do not pull the piping off of the Z Valance. You may need to use it again. 4. If you are not using piping then it should be am easy install.

If the valance isn't predrilled, drill some starting holes. Also, put some wax on the threads of the screws when you put them in. It will make things easier and less likely to split the wood.
