I was smitten by the Keeley germanium Phat Mod and ordered one direct (great pedal btw!) and that brought to mind a pedal I bought from them a year or two ago - the Blacktop Fuzz. It's one of those that they just made for a short run, a nice two knob silicone fuzz, and I liked the sound, but the gain knob did all it's work in the last little bit of it's sweep. Made it tough to dial in "just right". I emailed the service dept and Sean replied that they could use a different pot to get a broader sweep if I wanted, and to just send it in. I got it back the other day, and, as expected, the gain pot has a much gentler useable sweep - but the real story is that I think it spent more time in the mail than at the shop, and they charged nada, zip, zero for the mod; even paid the return shipping! Sean told me that "everyone up here wants you to be happy with your purchase" and they've accomplished that in spades

I bought a new Compressor Plus direct from Keeley last year, and the dang thing showed up with a plastic-wrapped, really-nicely-decorated, frosted sugar cookie in the box! I'll be damned! And I ate the thing, too... it was delicious.
