Anyone? I have a Blue and was thinking of a 90 watt Alnico Creamback. I tried a Gold once. I hated it. Experiences, please.

I'm shopping for speaker upgrade for my M12, too. Interested to hear if anyone's tried this.

The Cream Alnico goes well with Z amps!
I have used it in my Maz 18, Maz 8, and now the EMS.
It adds a little something to a nice clean tone, and it only gets better with drive and gain.

I've had a Scumback M75-PVC (very low power-handling, at a delicate 20 W or less) in my M12 combo forever, and it's so perfect with that amp that nothing can beat it. I A/B'd it against the G12 Blue and even liked this good ol' Scumback pre-rola GB clone even more. For cheaper bucks, I'd suggest the basic/Chinese-made Celestion Greenback or the WGS Green Beret.

Im using one in a 1/12 Mesa Boogie cab with a Marshall 2061X. It sounds excellent its real vintage sounding real warm and articulate. I had a few Golds as well. The Alnico cream is more like the blue then the Gold. I almost went with a Creamback but decided to give the alncio cream a shot. No regrets at all. It is a awesome speaker. It sounds great clean and overdriven also takes pedals very well. Even fuzz pedals .

Although I've not tried the Alnico Cream, after experimenting with lots of speakers in my M12 combo, including the Blue and Gold, I settled on the G12 Neo Creamback. I couldn't be happier, but sorry that I don't know how it would compare to the Alnico.
