I was looking for pricing for a Mini combo and it’s not listed. Are they being discontinued?

Yep, along with the Remedy, Monza, DB4, Maz 8, Z28, Route 66 and the M12.

Wow, that’s a big list of amps! Thanks for the info. If you aren't familiar with Doc's operations - he really runs a small shop 15 or so people. In order to release new stuff he has to "retire" some amps occasionally. That's what you're seeing here. I have a Mini-Z - a really fun amp. Now's probably time to get one if you were thinking about it.

That makes sense, I read the article over at Humbucker on all the newly retired amps. That was a lot of amps they were building, especially if they weren't selling a lot of them (or not making any money on them!). The Mini combo & the 2x10 Ghia are on my short list.

I have both the mini-combo and several Ghia (one of each version). Also look at the Cure - really versatile

Yup - the problem with low wattage amps is that they don't cost much less to build than their bigger brothers. I think the mini Z and Maz 8 both probably had smaller profit margins than the Ghia or Maz 18 - but the perception was better value for the larger amps because of more watts per dollar.

I have both the mini-combo and several Ghia (one of each version). Also look at the Cure - really versatile I had the 8" combo and sold it. I have the option to get another but I see now they are looked down on since they have the older little transformers. I always like just the one knob and small size. What MINI Z's do you have? is there disadvantages of the older original ones? I know they don't have the attenuator but I can just use one I have. Thanks

I have one of the early Minis without the attenuator - I don't think anyone looks down on them, they are just a different flavor. I actually prefer the older, "vintage" Zs.

Thanks, So you have the one knob, 8" with the anvil case type handle on the bottom of the cabinet? That's the one I had and have the option to get another. Always loved it. I saw where people were replacing the transformers with newer bigger ones. But maybe this is happening with the later attenuated ones as I don't see that there is much room in the old original ones for anything bigger.

Yep, that's the one I have. I like the sound so I was never tempted to try to modify it.

My oldest son won a Mini Z combo at Zfest one year. He still has it and loves it.
It's a 1x10 combo. We also had the transformer upgrade done. It was a nice upgrade and the amp sounds great.
He is using a 10" gold.
Very cool amps!
