Just curious. Are the matching EMS cabs (that come in the set) standard with just a solid back panel, as in non convertible? I’m looking at one that looks to be that way, but the Dave Baker video shows a convertible cab and the Humbucker website is says that the “cab be operated in closed-back or open-back configuration.” Anyone know?

Not convertible when originally sold as the set.

Aha! Thanks for the info.
Also, should there be black grip tape on the top of the speaker cab where the feet of the amp would be? I’ve never seen this on a Z cab before.

Yes both of those additions , Solid Back, and grip tape and used due to the power of the EMS head.

I just got home from work, and although I have seemingly about a billion things to do, I just HAD TO open up the EMS that showed up today. In short, I LOVE this amp. More to come...
