Just wondering. If you run the Plus in 7 watt mode for extended periods should the 2 6V6s be swapped periodically to balance tube life?

That's not a bad idea. Understand that they're both getting heater current when the amp is on, but if you usually only use the 7 watt mode, one tube is getting more juice through it. Also, SE designs also don't depend on perfect balance of output tubes.
It looks like a great design. Hope you're enjoying it.

Great question, following this one as I run my Zplus wide open most of the time in both 7 and 15w.

I 'm going to say NO, the tubes do not need swapping. I utilize a very unique half power design, without going into too much detail, the tubes and the Output Transformer are loaded down 100% of the time. It doesn't matter if it's running Full or Half output power, that is why the Tone doesn't change when half or full is selected.
I'm always concerned that swapping tubes can cause more damage and problems, just something I have seen many times in the past.

Keeping all 4 tubes "hot" (for lack of better technical understanding) even in the 20 W mode--thus always making it sound "full-powered?"
