I'm loving my new (used) Remedy amp and the chimy, thick beautiful tones it produces. However, I need to ask is it normal for when switching two-tone bypass mode to hear humming. When the master volume is rollback to about half that isn't very noticeable but when it's opened up all the way, which would be the same as having a non Master remedy, there is very noticeable humming? Also to note is that tone bypass knob is all the way open. If I said it halfway The Buzz is a lot less and when I disable tone bypass it goes away completely. So, there's nothing wrong with amp per se but something to do with tone bypass circuitry or something... Is my guess period or is this normal? How can that be normal?
Donavan, that sure sounds weird. Try this , plug a unused open 1/4" jack into the By-Pass footswitch jack. How does that sound? If all you get is a boost then something is wrong with your Foot Switch Pedal.

...boom!
Dr. Z you nailed it sir. Plugged my Tele into the amp and turned up the master volume to 2oclock and dialed the foot switch up to max. This produced quite loud humming. No sound at all when i plugged one side of a 1/4 instrument cable into the foot-switch jack (other side of the cable was not connected to anything).
So.. bought this amp used a few weeks ago from Matt's music. 2016 model. Please advise on how I can get the foot switch fixed Loving the amp btw.. now i see what all the Dr. Z devotion and enthusiasm is about Mahalo Dr. Z!

I bought the Amp from Matt's music about two weeks ago. It's a 2016, store demo with like 1 hour playing time on it and is in mint condition -- came in original box with docs and tags, etc.. They say the amp was in perfect working order Sold - "as is" ^^ but does that count if something is broken/defective ? I would think "mint condition" would imply nothing brokie no?
I have been interested in your issue on the Remedy.
It sounds like the foot pedal has a bad ground or similar based on the test of the dummy jack going in.
In defense of Matt's music that is a unique circumstance to test. I bet that if you talked to them or wrote them an email explaining the test that you performed they might be a little more amiable and sport you a new foot pedal.

Indeed .. i got a conversation going with them now and they're going to see what kind of deal they can swing me on a replacement (me just pay shipping for something like that).. we'll see. So, when I did plug in the 1/4" speaker cable and heard the tone-bypass boost without the humm.. that sounded pretty dang nice..I'd use that! BTW.. The other night, I performed Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac versions of Oh Well and Black Magic Woman (with the live jam part at the end) with the Remedy and it sounded GLORIOUS! HUGE and SWEET! Everything sounded great
