DD-6 just went wonko, weird delay times. it sounds like it broke. So i just discovered this pedal is not fixable, the entire board needs replacement. Would a DD-7 be better quality? I really like the sound of BOSS delays. I realize there are better options, but I do ambient stuff with 3 seperate delay pedals and it works great in this setting. Anyone else run into this? It saddens me to just use it as a paperweight...

I can't comment on the DD-6 going south other than it is unusual for a Boss product to fail. I guess you have checked the power supply. If you go delay shopping, avoid the TRex Replica delay. Although it sounds great, its not very dependable.

I agree about it being unusual for a Boss unit to die. I have several older Boss delays from the early/mid 80's (DD3, DD2, DM2) and they all still sound great. Old DD2's can still be had for reasonable prices.
