We played last night at a new place. It's on the smallish side and has hard surfaces, and we didn't want to blast the crowd. Half-power mode on the Z-Plus delivered perfectly since I was able to have the amp Vol and Master turned past noon. Toss in a couple pedals, mix well. There was no sound I wanted for the gig (blues and classic rock) that wasn't available. It was a lot of fun. True, on its own it has an inherent brightness, but it really cut through the mix. (Our other guitarist uses a Marshall combo, probably around 20 watts.)
What a great amp.

That's exactly why I bought the Plus. My band frequently plays smaller venues and my Maz 18 is a little too much.
We are currently taking a "gig break" and it's killing me not experiencing the Plus in a live situation. It's great to hear others experiences with the Plus playing out.

Cool report Mike. I'm in between bands right now other wise I'm sure I'd have a "half power" report myself.
I LOVE my Ray and MAZ18(especially when you can turn them up), but for some shows, it's just to much amp. The Z-Plus IS a great amp! I can't wait to do a gig with it.

I don't play out. So really haven't had to worry much about volume issues. Only one to decide if it's too loud is me, and I hardly ever argue with myself about that But sometimes it's cool to just turn it down real low, tilt it back against the wall, sit legs crossed in front of it and mess around. The low power setting really works great for that. It really sounds nice clean at super low volumes. It's turning into my fav Z to date. Had some fun with "old ugly" today, my white-turned yellow late 80's LP Custom with SD Antiquities. It's turning into my fav Z to date. The Z+ has got the 3 L's, Loads of fun. Loads of tone. Light to carry. Today I had my door open to my jam room/studio. I was messing around on the Z+ at super low volume and really getting into it. My cat Chester came in and jumped up on the amp while I was playing and that cat is scared of EVERYTHING.

My cat Chester came in and jumped up on the amp while I was playing and that cat is scared of EVERYTHING. Now THAT'S a sign of quality! It may not be the best selling point for Doc to put on the website...but quality none the less.

Honestly, the Z Plus sounds incredible at super low volumes if clean is your thing. Sounds so good.

I thought "All you need is love". I guess a ZPlus would qualify for that - a lot of love for it here.
