I have owned many Z's and loved many of them! However I find myself Z-less at the moment! If you could compare the differences for me!
Z-Plus to Z-28, Cure, Z-Lux...
The Z-28 to me was the warmest of the 3 but SO LOUD! The Z-Lux I only ever used the half power brighter than the Cure and Z-28! The Cure was the best as far as volume control, but still a little bright. That being said I had great tones with all 3, I think my battle worn ears are sensitive to highs anymore? What are your thoughts?
Try to look unimportant they may be running low on ammo... Infantry Journal...

I, too, am overly sensitive to treble and bass frequencies these days. I prefer mid range focused amps. The Z Plus is the brightest of the lot, but because of Doc's special sauce, is not harsh by any means. Very hard to describe, you have to hear it.
That said, I've been fortunate to have owned many nice amps over the years. The only two I've seriously considered re-purchasing are a Ecstasy 101a and the Z28. I LOVE that amp.
That helps a lot! I can't leave out the 110 Ghia it was special too, I'd love to have a Z28 with a level control like the Cure!
I just picked up a ghia 1/10....had one some time back....this ones a whole different sounding amp to my ears...Tone sweep seems more broader...more lowend and tonefull mids, highs aren't shrill...I don't know if it is the Z speaker this time (fang last one) around but its a keeper.

GuitarZ: They say you should be on the same page about kids before you get married. I really think you ought to talk about expectations on outdoor Christmas/Holiday lights. That could have been a game changer.

GuitarZ: Why is it once you finally clean the junk off your work bench, within 5 minutes, you find yourself ready to deposit some other junk right back on to that now clean space?

rossco: the variable e.q bypass is great because while bypassed it you get the raw sound of the amp without the e.q and everything else attenuating the signal which sounds great and a because its variable on the foot switch you can dial in to taste, 1/2 way I like

rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.
