I can't help to have noticed over the years Doc makes a New Offering and he sells it like Hotcakes with a side of Bacon and eggs. It never fails 6 months or so down the road and some are offloading their latest Z purchase. Typical and totally understandable.
I haven't seen that with the CURE. This Amp seems to have worked out really good for more than normal. It can't be the tone . All docs stuff sounds good. So what do you think it is. The Level control?

I've noticed that too. It's a great amp. For me, the light weight of the amp and the Level Control did it.

Suppose you sell the Cure for $1000, and it's not 'cuz you need the $. What else could one buy that would sound as good for the same money? I rest my case

Mine isn’t going anywhere, no matter what. I’m way past the too many amps, too many guitars threshold. I’ll continue to buy Doc’s creations until I have one of each!

Its tone and for sure the level control! I sold my zwreck and kept this Cure! @ the zwreck is glorious but the Cure is just working that and it has fx loop- Another great feature.

It's an inside-the-park home run. It covers every base and scores. Seriously, when I play my other Z amps I sometimes start thinking about which one I would sell. There's only one, and it might show up in the BST sometime in the spring. That would be my Monza, because I can take my Cure, put any OD in front of it, and get really close to where the Monza gets me without pedals. And then I plug into the Monza and know that I'm not ready to part with it either. I can really relate to our brother Mike's MuZeum. The only Z amp I ever sold was my Mini and that was because I was hot to trade it for a Z-Verb. Kinda wish I had that amp back, but then my Maz 8 will go where the Mini went. The Cure stays though! It's combination of light weight and heavy sound coupled with it's outstanding controllability makes it my must have amp. For me it makes no sense whatever to sell it.

Everytime I sign in I look for a Cure from somebody in the B&S . Nada Once ready I'll most likely get a New one. Unless Doc makes an EL84 based version before then.

The only one I remember seeing on BST was from Randy a month or two ago. I have zero plans to sell mine. It's my #1 gigging amp!

Hard thing to say when I used to have tons of $$$ Obama stole from me and others like me to fund Obamacare Care. Sorry not the place for that here. I am interested in a Cure.

I have had 8 Z amps over the past 7+ years. Right now I’m down to 2, and within about a month, it will be just the Cure.
It’s all the Z I need for the stuff I do.

I Just played mine on stage for the first time, and fortunately somebody shot some video and posted it on FB. My playing was kind of crap, but man--the Cure sounds great. Fat and nasty, just like I like it!

I have bought and sold 20+ vintage fenders from the 50's through the 70's over the years and I kept a princeton reverb that was hands down the best of the crop. I bought the Cure a year ago and over the last 6 months I crank up my princeton once a month or so and am back on the cure 10 minutes later. Its the first amp I have jammed with without a pedalboard and it sounds so effing good! mines not going anywhere but I do wish it was blonde

It is a super easy job and it doesn't cost that much. I've done it twice and was super happy with it.

Wow Bummer didn't see that > My concern Buying used is getting it in one Piece. Doc's stuff is Numero uno packed : I'd hesitate buying used if it wasn't coming in the original packaging. Unless I packed it

I’ve owned 8 Z amps and sold and shipped 6 of them - and never in the original Z box/packing (because I didn’t have it).
I make a condition of doing business with either UPS or FedX that I stand there and watch them packing the amps, and I haven’t had any complaints from any of the buyers.
Just saying...

Thanks for the Heads up But I agree : Rule of thumb is 1/4 off and that's in New condition : I'd pay 1000.00 But otherwise I'd rather save and get one New . Amps are very difficult to ship and arrive undamaged . If you have the Z Box that's a Plus. Most people put a few pieces of tape on the lid and call it good. UPS and Fed-ex are rough :

No offense to you But UPS and Fed ex don't pack worth a ****. I promise you one of these days you get a damaged amp. I'll admit I over pack. Ask anyone who has bought my stuff. I do that because I learned the hard way letting UPS pack my stuff . IMO WHAT A JOKE Corn Balls and Bubble wrap are to ship a 50 plus pound AMP. Especially Cabinets. I hope your luck continues

Rick,
One of my conditions for doing business with either UPS or FedEx is that I DO stand there - about 3 feet away - while they pack, and if I don’t like the looks of things, I make them repack, or else we don’t do business.
Luckily, I won’t get a damaged Z amp because I’ve got a Cure and will not be buying another Z amp; I have one more to sell, a Ghia Anni.
Maybe UPS and/or FedEx do things differently down here - I don’t think so - but I feel like if you stand there and “birddog” them, then you’ll get the assurance and the results you want.

Yes, but having only one or two options is always a gamble.
Amazingly, when I sold my Route 66 several years ago to a guy in Australia, he specified US Postal Service shipping, and to my surprise, it was flawless.
So maybe there are as many as 3 options; still, I agree that caution is important.
